We prioritize primary sources for every health claim we publish. These include the CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO, peer-reviewed journals (NEJM, JAMA, The Lancet, BMJ), IRB-registered clinical trials on ClinicalTrials.gov, and on-record interviews with credentialed experts.
Articles cite specific studies by author, journal, and year. Pre-prints and conference abstracts are labeled and contextualized so readers know they have not yet been peer-reviewed. Observational data are never presented as causal evidence.
Reporters and editors disclose any financial relationship with companies covered in their stories. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and produced independently of the newsroom.
Errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. Corrections appear at the bottom of the affected article with a timestamp explaining what changed. Significant corrections are also republished in our newsletter.
We use AI tools only to assist with research synthesis, copy editing, and headline testing. No WS Coverage article is published without a human reporter and editor reviewing every claim.
