The Colorado public health department announced that the CDC has verified four of the cases, with the fifth awaiting confirmation. The CDC is actively supporting the ongoing investigation.
“A fifth worker’s sample tested presumptive positive at the state laboratory on Saturday and will be sent to the CDC for confirmation,” the department stated.
The affected workers exhibited mild symptoms, including conjunctivitis (pink-eye) and respiratory issues. None required hospitalization.
